Learning skills to function in the society. Period of personality imprint: Infant to puberty, youth 14 to 21 years.

Our life basically has not changed from the time of hunter-gatherer period. We still fight as a pack to earn the daily nourishment. It is the world of the survival of fittest.

The Earth element is where the animal intelligence grows. You have to fulfill (=digest) the role assigned to you in the group, but it is not necessarily what you want to do or the role that makes sense.

The Physical Aspect

Spleen, Stomach. Break down what you eat and ready for absorption.
What to eat, what to learn, with whom to be romantically involved, what occupation to take…all has to do with bringing outside energy in.

The Earth Element controls muscles, The power of muscle is in contraction, but if you don’t relax, it will not return.

It brings fatigue, loss of appetite, indigestion, obesity, sugar dependency.


The Emotional Aspect of Earth Element

Our stomach is called the second brain, and it is very sensitive to stress.
The emotion of the Earth Element is “pensiveness, or worry”. What you have to eat maybe poisonous. Earning a new skill may end up not worth the effort.
Interested someone may consider you unsuited, etc…Overthinking leads to indecision, and stagnation. Calm yourself down, be at ease, at the same time holding some tension is the key.

The Spiritual Aspect

In our social life, we need to act together with family, friends and co-workers. All of these cause more stress than we need sometimes. The task of the Earth element is to patiently accept and "digest" such challenges. We often come across situations where we need to make difficult decisions. Agreeing somewhere, even if it's hard to accept, that's the key word.

The question for the Earth element is “What Are You Worried About?”
The scent chosen from among the Earth elements shows how the person responded to the expected role play.

Five Questions (Metaphorical) -How Do You Do? Actions require muscles to work in specific way. Simple adjective word fast, slow, deliberate, impulsive etc. can be used to describe the manner in which a person operates.
